The Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio met in regular session at the Miami Township Civic Building on January 17, 2006 with the following members present: Edwin H. Humphrey, Ken Tracy and Mary Makley Wolff.
MR. TRACY made a motion to adopt the following Resolution:
ESTABLISHING A SECOND ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE MIAMI TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS, DISPENSING WITH THE SECOND READING
WHEREAS, a board of township trustees is authorized pursuant to Section 519.13 of the Ohio Revised Code to appoint alternate members to the board of zoning appeals and to establish procedures for this position; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Township Board of Trustees wishes to establish a second alternate member to the Miami Township Zoning Board of Appeals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of Miami Township, Clermont County, Ohio by authority of Chapter 504 and Section 519.13 of the Ohio Revised Code, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the Board hereby appoints a second alternate member to the Miami Township Board of Zoning Appeals.
SECTION 2: That the second alternate member shall meet the same appointment criteria as a regular member.
SECTION 3: That the second alternate member shall serve a term of five (5) years starting January 1, 2006 and ending December 31, 2010 and shall serve until the member's successor is appointed and qualified
SECTION 4: That the second alternate member shall take the place of an absent regular member at any meeting of the township board of zoning appeals.
SECTION 5: That the second alternate member, when attending a meeting on behalf of an absent member, may vote on any matter on which the absent member is authorized to vote.
SECTION 6: That the second alternate member may be removed from office under the same criteria as members of the board of zoning appeals as prescribed in Section 519.13 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 7: That this Board of Trustees hereby finds and determines that all
formal actions relative to the passage of this Resolution were taken in an open
meeting of this Board, and that all deliberations of this Board and of its
Committees, if any, which resulted in formal action, were taken in meetings open
to the public, in full compliance with applicable legal requirements, including
Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
SECTION 8: This Resolution shall take effect at the earliest period allowed by law.

Effective: February 16, 2006
MRS. WOLFF seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution. On the roll call
being called the vote resulted as follows:
