Township Police Department's operation commander. "This decrease can be attributed to the to heightened awareness by business owners and a continuous public information campaign conducted by the Miami Township Police Department."
Police Officers sent in underage decoys to attempt to purchase
alcoholic beverages at 26 Miami Township stores with alcohol permits.
Only the United Dairy Farmers store on Wards Corner Road sold to
the decoy. The store clerk was cited and a report will be sent to the
Ohio Liquor Commission, Lt. Rogers said.
"Now that we have a great deal of our local businesses in
compliance, we're going to seek the help of other neighboring
communities, and most importantly, the help of parents in restricting
access to alcohol by underage persons," Lt. Rogers said.
