Decisions - 2008

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, November 6, 2008 and took the following action:

Case 525 - This case is a request for a major modification to the approved site plan.  The request is to is to eliminate
                 two  condominium buildings (total of 16 units) and replace them with a 24 unit Independent Senior Living
                 Facility.

Case 526 - Withdrawn

Case 527 - This case is a rezoning of the west and southern portion of the site from R-2 Single Family and B-1
                 Neighborhood Business, with a Planned Development Overlay to R-PUD Residential Planned Unit
                 Development.  The proposal is  to eliminate the 8 single family lot and replace them with 13 condominium
                 units in a mix of detached and attached buildings.

These two cases were continued to the December 4, 2008 meeting.

Case 526 - Withdrawn

                 Neighborhood Business, with a Planned Development Overlay to R-PUD Residential Planned Unit
                 Development.  The proposal is to eliminate the 8 single family lot and replace them with 13 condominium
                 units in a mix of detached and attached buildings.

These two cases were continued to the November 6, 2008 meeting.

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, September 4, 2008 and took the following action:

Set Case 524 - The applicant, Howard Cade, requested a rezoning of a portion of a five acre lot at 767 Loveland
                       Miamiville Road from R-1 Single Family to B-1 Neighborhood Business.  The proposal was for 
                       one retail building and two office buildings.  After a public hearing, the Zoning Commission voted 
                       to recommend the Board of Trustees approve the zone change request with conditions.  The 
                       conditions related to interior driveways and parking, landscaping, lighting, traffic impact study
                       cross access easements and pedestrian access easements.  

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, August 7, 2008 and took the following action:

Set Case 524 - The applicant, Howard Cade, requested a rezoning of a portion of a five acre lot at 767 Loveland
                       Miamiville Road from R-1 Single Family to B-1 Neighborhood Business.  The proposal was for 
                       one retail building and two office buildings.  The case was set for public hearing on September 4.


The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, July 10, 2008 and held a public hearing on the following case:

Case 523 - Miami Township Zoning Commission.  This case involved an amendment to the Miamiville
                   Planned Business Development Overlay relating to side yard setbacks (reducing the setback 
                   from 10 to 7 feet)  and commercial parking.  After a public hearing the Commission voted to
                   recommend the Board of Trustees approve the proposed  amendments to the Overlay


The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, June 5, 2008 and held a public hearing on the following case:

Case 522 - Miami Township Zoning Commission.  This case involved several amendments to the Zoning
                   Resolution relating to accessory structures, signs, outdoor dining, parking stall size, and 
                   enforcement.  After a public hearing the Commission voted to recommend the Board of 
                  Trustees approve the proposed text amendments.

 

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, May 8, 2008 and held a public hearing on the following case:

Case 521 - O'Reilly Automotive.  The applicant requests a zone change from R-2 Single Family 
                   Residential to B-2 General Business for the construction of a retail sales of auto parts
                   business.  Such property is located 1331, St. Rt. 28 and area in acreage is 2.731 acres.  
                   After the public hearing the Zoning Commission vote to recommend approval of the 
                   zone change request with several conditions relating to cross access easements,
                   building design and landscaping.

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, April 3, 2008 and held a worksession on
proposed amendments to the Zoning Resolution.

The Miami Township Zoning Commission did not meet on Thursday, March 6, 2008 due to a lack of agenda 
items

The Miami Township Zoning Commission met on Thursday, February 7, 2008 and held a worksession on
proposed amendments to the Zoning Resolution.
